How It Works


Uplink emulates a print driver, streaming data from the agency management system to Appulate servers instead of a traditional printer. The agency management system output is converted to a structured data format on the Appulate servers where it is then sent as XML to the receiving system. The receiving system (i.e. underwriting system, rater, online application) can then receive and process the XML. Appulate maintains the bridges with all agency management systems on the market today, and can provide customized integrations to your underwriting system, rater or online application.


How it works
Agent uses their agency management system to print the desired ACORD form with the relevant client information. The Appulate Uplink uses a secure username and password verification to transfer the data to the Appulate servers. The Appulate servers read the transfered information, convert it to structured data, and send to receiver's server. The receiving server uses XML transfer of real data in underwriting or rating system.

Best of all, the Uplink works with any agency management system on the market today!
No matter if you’re using Applied’s TAM (The Agency Manager), AMS’s AfW, or a different system like Nexsure or Ebix, you can use the Uplink with them all.
